The 4th Quarter, hosted by Lamar B. Butler, offers an insiders perspective on: sports, community, and finance; through the eyes of the NFL, NBA, NCAA, and Special Needs Organizations.
As a dedicated member of the community, Lamar has spent over a decade aiding numerous families and business owners to become informed, organized, and prepared for their future financial needs.
Prior to joining the Midwest Legacy Group, Lamar supported clients as a financial strategist with two industry leading mutual firms. In addition to his strong financial services background, Lamar’s experience as a high-frequency trader, with a focus on Commodity Futures, has afforded him a unique market perspective.
As a father, Lamar’s believes that commitment to family and engagement within the community are paramount. Lamar has supported legislative changes and programs designed to promote workplace equality in the corporate arena. Through his partnerships with multiple Special Needs organizations, Lamar is dedicated to helping families in these communities better prepare for the various transition periods in their lives.
Lamar has cultivated strong working relationships with thriving professional women’s networks, a demographic that has been historically under-serviced. He is committed to being a supportive partner for this community. Women have been invaluable to the growth and development of countless corporations, businesses, and Fortune 500 companies.
Lamar holds three degrees from his alma mater, DePaul University: a Bachelor’s in Advertising, a Mater’s in Computer Science with a focus on Information Technology, and a Master’s in Social Science and Management. During his time at DePaul, he was a Letterman for the heavily recruited Men’s Basketball team, and made appearances in the NIT and NCAA Tournaments. Following his college career, he spent several seasons playing professional basketball internationally.
