Former Vice President Kamala Harris will campaign with Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley on Oct. 26.
Crowley’s campaign said the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee will join the 2026 Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial nominee at several campaign events that day, but the details are still being panned out.
The news follows endorsements for Crowley from former President Barack Obama and likely 2028 presidential candidate Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, as the Democrats look to turn out the vote on Nov. 3.
In Wisconsin, Harris lost the 2024 race to President Donald Trump by fewer than 30,000 votes, less than 1%.
With the president’s approval rating in the state at the lowest level it’s ever been, Harris looks to rejuvenate her alternate vision of America and help Democrats regain some control in government.
The visit also marks another prominent Black politician with a history making milestone putting their weight behind Crowley.
Of course, Obama is the country’s first Black president. Moore was only the third Black person to ever be elected governor in the U.S. and Harris was the first female vice president and first Black woman to be a major party’s presidential nominee. Crowley is one of eight Black candidates seeking a governor’s office in the U.S.
With 20 days to go until Election Day, the Democrats are going all in for Crowley.
