Walter J. Lanier Named New Board President of MICAH

The State of Faith — On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Walter J. Lanier, pastor of Progressive Baptist Church, was named the new board president of Milwaukee Inner‑City Congregations Allied for Hope (MICAH) at Incarnation Lutheran Church. MICAH is a multiracial, interfaith organization committed to addressing justice issues important to Milwaukee residents. Lanier discussed plans to strengthen MICAH’s leadership role in building collective power across the region.
